The short version

Your questions are never stored on our servers, and the app contains no analytics or tracking.

Questions you ask

When you ask a question, it is sent to our server, the answer is computed live from the statistics warehouse, streamed back to you, and discarded. Question text is not written to any database, log or file. The only trace kept is an anonymous counter: a one way salted hash recording that some question was asked a number of times, from which the text cannot be recovered. A small library of pre answered questions was written and answered by us, not drawn from user questions.

Sharing a question to the library, if you choose

After receiving an answer you can explicitly offer your question to the public library. This is the only way a question of yours is ever stored. Only the question text is sent, with no name, identifier or device information attached, and it is published to nobody: a curator reviews it and, if approved, generates a fresh answer through the normal verification process, which then becomes free for everyone. Not tapping the button means nothing is stored, ever.

Your question history

The list of questions and answers you see in the app lives on your device only. Deleting the app deletes it.

Purchases

Credit purchases are processed by Apple. We receive anonymised transaction records to grant credits and do not receive your payment details. Purchase infrastructure is provided by RevenueCat, which processes an anonymous app user identifier and transaction history to manage entitlements, and no personal details beyond that.

What we do not do

• No analytics or advertising SDKs in the app
• No account, no sign up, no email collection
• No sale or sharing of any data with third parties
• No profiling of any kind

Data in answers

All statistics served by the app are official UK public data used under the Open Government Licence v3.0 or the publisher's own terms, with the source cited on every answer.
